If you would like to make a course selection change, please contact your child's high school counselor.
Promotion, Summer School and Retention
We would like for all students to be successful this year. Please have your child log into google classroom everyday for all of their classes and complete all assignments.
Please note that failing a course may impact your student’s ability to be promoted to the next grade level.
Students who fail 2 or 3 core classes for the year are required to attend summer school to move on to the next grade level.
Students who fail 4 or more classes for the year are retained at the current grade level.
The Northside District policy states that “middle school students must attain an average of 70 or above” in the following core courses: English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies in order to be promoted to the next grade at the end of the school year.
We encourage you to arrange a conference with the teacher(s) through email. Please encourage your son/daughter to continue to log on to their classes and complete all assignments. If your child needs help, please contact his/her assigned teachers.
If you need further assistance, please contact your grade-level counselor.
High School Courses and Credit
Please make sure that you child is logging on to their high school courses daily and completing all assignments.
If you have questions, concerns, or your child needs help with the course, please contact your child's teacher through email.
If you need further assistance, please contact your grade level counselor.
