New Parent Representative for Local School Council
We are pleased to welcome Renee Janzen to our Local School Council for the 2019-20 school year. We believe Renee will be a terrific asset to the LSC at Big Creek Elementary.
Renee and her husband, Travis, relocated to Forsyth County from Florida in 2015. They have a rising first-grader daughter, Jenna, and a 3-year-old son, Jake. Renee attended the University of Central Florida where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education as well as a Masters in K-8 Mathematics & Science Education. While living in Florida, Renee taught school for nine years. She is passionate about open communication between the school and parents for the safety and well-being of students.

Care Plans for 2019-20 School Year
Happy Summer!
Medical condition care plans are only good for one school year. You will need to submit a new care plan for next year. The care plan forms are available on the Big Creek website. Please go to Student Services and click on School Nurse. When my page opens, click on Health Forms located on the left-hand side. You may send these electronically to your child’s physician or print them off and drop them off at the physician’s office. Please make sure they are dated AFTER Memorial Day (May 27) in order to be valid for the next school year. These forms are the same forms needed through 12th grade, so if you have a rising 6th grader with medical issues, you can use these for middle school. You may bring forms and medicines and sign them in with me during Open House on July 30.
See you next year!
