Marshall LMS Update
Bray's Bulletin
The end of the school year is right around the corner. Work hard in your classes to finish the school year strong. Mr. Gonzales has been calling students to his office to ensure that they are on track to earn credit in their courses. If you have questions about attendance recovery please come to the LMS Office to meet with Mr. Gonzales.
After careful consideration, and in cooperation with school district personnel, we have made the decision to postpone the Mass Casualty Exercise originally scheduled for May 21st until July. We are looking forward to welcoming another entity to assist us with this event so that it can be a safe, educational, and enriching experience for all of our participants. I am confident that this is going to be the first of many events in which our students will have the opportunity to demonstrate knowledge through hands-on learning activities. I look forward to sending you updated information regarding this event in the near future.
Counselor's Corner
Greetings LMS RamFam!
This is a great opportunity to reevaluate your goals for this school year and finish strong!
Students’ course requests for next year are now visible in HAC. Please note that according to the NISD handbook on page B-10: Students must be enrolled in all remaining course required for graduation.
Students can go in and review their selections and request changes if necessary. Instructions for viewing their course selections have been posted in the LMS Schoology site. The deadline for requesting changes is the last day of school, June 2nd, at 4:30 pm.
In addition to HAC, you have received a letter via email with their 2022-2023 course requests.
You also have received an email from Mrs. Law (4/29/2022) containing a google form and instructions for Summer 2022 Credit Advancement.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to me by email, Anissa.Pennick@nisd.net. Please include your student’s id number and a phone number where you can be reached by phone.
Take care and enjoy your weekend,
Ms. A. Pennick
Semester Exam Exemptions
Students that meet the following criteria can be exempt from their final exams this semester. However, it is important to understand that all students must be present for their exam. An exemption does not mean a student can be absent, anyone absent from the final exam will receive an 11, regardless of their exemption status. The student can improve their grade by taking the exam even if they are exempt. If exempt, participating in the exam can ONLY help not harm his/her grade.
Exemption Qualifications:
An 80 average for this semester.
No more than 3 absences after March 1.
No U’s or I’s in conduct.
A student must have passed the first semester if it is a year-long course.
A student MUST be present for the exam or they will receive an 11.
Message from Mr. Trevino
Have you completed community service hours this year? If so, please complete this Google form to document the number of hours you have served, and make sure to complete a separate form for each event you have participated in. LMS Students are encouraged to complete at least 12 hours of volunteer or community service throughout the school year. Hours are typically awarded when students participate in a school sponsored event; or community service hours if their voluntary work was intended to help people in a particular area.

Helpful Tip: If you receive a certificate of participation from the organization you helped out with, make a copy, take a picture and add it to a Google Drive Folder for safe keeping.
