What are panic attacks ?

A panic attack is a little mini episodes of pain or of having a fear of something. They also can occur in real danger. These panic attacks can happen awake or asleep many times panic attacks can be recurring but it many it can happen just once. They could happen when something little comes up like public speaking.

What are symptoms?

some symptoms could be sweating, chest pain or discomfort, the feeling that someone is choking you, fear of losing control (going crazy), the fear of death, or having the shortness of breath.

What are some treatments?

There are some treatments like antidepressants a drug to relieve stress but you have to continue to take them or they will not work. So if you forget to take them a couple days in a row and you have a panic attack you can just take them because they won't just help right away it takes a couple days. There is a drug that you can take during a panic attack it's called benzodiazepines so you take these pills during a panic attack it should go away in about 30 minutes to an hour.

There are a few famous people with this disorder Oprah, princess Diana and johnny Depp.

Interesting facts. Panic attacks can occur in your sleep.Diet and exercise can impact a panic attack and avoiding a panic attack may increase you fears.

Who does this disorder effect more men or women, young or old.

in studies they show that more women get panic attacks than men in the age 15-24 women 2.5% and mean at 1.3%. They older they got the more it dropped but women were still in the eun for having them more with a 2.1% and men were at a 0.6%.

What Causes a panic attack.

Panic attack are linked back to big life changes like a family death, graduation, moving out, being able to drive, having a baby, server stress, a job loss. Any of these thing can trigger a panic attack and many more.
