Burleson ISD Update
On March 25, the City of Burleson issued a Mandatory Stay-at-Home Order until Monday, April 13, unless extended by Burleson City Council. BISD will extend its current closure until April 13, and resume regular classes on April 14.
BISD is in constant contact with local and state officials and is consistently monitoring these rapidly-changing events. Please know that every decision we make is based on thorough discussions and considerations with these officials.
Families share their children with us trusting we will keep them safe. With that said, please know we will resume classes only when it is safe. The health and safety of our students, staff, and families are our highest priority, and our decisions will reflect that.
Parents and students may continue to visit the BISD Learning Page for grade-appropriate resources until April 3. Beginning April 6, specific content will be provided by your students’ teachers via Google Classroom. An updated website will go out for parents with specific instructions on how to log in and support their students. Teachers will continue reaching out to students. Parents and students may also email teachers with any questions.
In order to best support Burleson families’ learning from home, we recognize that not all students have access to computers and the internet. Please complete this form if you need, ‘low tech’ instructional paper copies.
BISD will continue to update the resources below on our website at http://bit.ly/burlesonisdhealthupdate. We encourage parents to check regularly for updates.
