BoardDocs for Meeting Agendas
- As you may have noticed, the district is now using BoardDocs for meeting agendas and information.
- Dr. Pearson acknowledged Ms. Marsan, Mrs. Schwartz, and Mrs. Rachford for their hard work to get the new system up and running.
- Please visit the district's School Board Meetings page for instructions on using BoardDocs.
2022-2023 Kindergarten Registration
- Kindergarten registration opens on January 31.
- While we have rolling registration, we encourage families who will be sending their child to District 303 for kindergarten to register by February 25. This will assist us with staffing.
- Please visit the district's New Elementary Student Registration page for more information.
Updated Quarantine Guidelines from IDPH
- Last week, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and Kane County Health Department (KCHD) changed the isolation and quarantine rules. Students and staff members who are no longer exhibiting symptoms are now required to quarantine for 5 days instead of 10 days.
- The district has 115 positive SHIELD tests last week. Previously, our largest week with positive SHIELD test results was 18.
- At this time, the District does not intend to go full remote.
- We are working to keep our schools as safe as possible with the mitigation strategies we have in place.
- If there is cause to shut down a classroom or building, we will make those decisions on a classroom by classroom or building by building basis.
For Discussion
Superintendent Search
School districts typically use the services of a search firm when looking for a new superintendent. While each firm is unique, the process is similar and includes:
- Administration of a community survey to identify desired characteristics of the next leader
- Staff, parent, student, and community member interviews in a focus group setting
- Development of a leadership profile to be used during the recruitment process
- School Exec Connect
- BWP & Associates
- Hazard, Young, and Attea
- GR Recruiting
- McPherson & Jacobson, LLC
- Ray and Associates
The Board will discuss which firm to hire at an upcoming Special School Board Meeting.
