From Principal Cutone
Dear Harwich Elementary School Families,
Next week is our fall Book Fair. All classrooms will visit the Book Fair during their weekly library class, and parents and caregivers are invited to join. The Book Fair is a community event that supports our mission to nurture a love of reading so we want to ensure that every student is able to participate and take home a book. If your family needs financial assistance, please reach out to your teacher or me, and we will discreetly provide them with a $10 voucher to purchase a book. If you plan to shop for books during family shopping hours or have a different reason that your child should not receive a voucher, please communicate that to your child's teacher. Relatedly, if you would like to donate to provide books for all students or to add books to our classroom collections, there will be an All for Books donation box at the checkout during the Book Fair. We are so excited for the Book Fair!
Thank you for supporting our food drive for Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces this week! Fourth grade students assembled 37 baskets filled with canned vegetables, dessert mixes, bread mixes, stuffing, gravy, cranberries, and fresh potatoes, carrots and squash. We also included student designed notes and grocery store gift cards, which will help with purchasing turkeys. What a beautiful tradition of Harwich Elementary School. I am honored to work in such a caring community.
Are your children missing any sweatshirts, jackets, water bottles or other items? Our HES Lost and Found is beginning to overflow! All Lost and Found items will be in the lobby on tables during the Family Shopping Book Fair event next week. Please browse the accumulation and take what belongs to your family. On November 22, everything that is unclaimed will be donated to charity. In the future, please consider writing your child's name on their things, and we will make every effort to reunite items with their owners.
Wishing everyone a fabulous long weekend! As always, if there is anything that I can do for you or your family, please let me know.
Warm regards,
Christie

All for Books no caixa durante a Feira do Livro.
Nosso HES Lost and Found está começando a transbordar!
Christie
