Principal Update
Week of January 30, 2017
Hi,
I hope your weekend was restful. Our focus at Lesslie is always teaching and learning. Please remember to refer students to RTI team if the student is not making gains academically or behaviorally in Tier 1. The goal of the RTI team is to support teachers with providing interventions that will help students achieve at high levels.
Please have a plan in place for your children in the case of early dismissal or two hour delay. Employees are expected to provide supervision for students until they are picked up. In the event of a two hour delay, employees are expected to report to work on time or as early as it is safe to report.
Expectations
Every grade level should have the following (math):
1. Learning essentials
2. A common formative assessment that has been or will be administered at the end of the unit
3. The agreed-on window of time, according to the team's common pacing guide
4. The date for administration of the common assessment
5. The collective results of the assessment, identified students who need additional time and support to learn the essential curriculum
6. Interventions and extensions
Technology Lab
The sign up sheet is in the teacher's work room. The lab is a great resource when doing research and projects etc. Don't forget to utilize this resource.
