Grades 2-5: Holding Data Chats with your students

-"This approach to assessment is key to ensuring that schools achieve educational equity."

Expeditionary Learning Core Practices emphasizes the importance of student-engaged assessments to build student ownership of learning, focus students on reaching standards-based learning targets.

I invite you engage your students in conversations about their individual/classroom data & set goals for reading, math, habits of scholarship, & attendance. I am firm believer of empowering our children with this information so that they can make informed decisions on their education.

Please see the links below to access data resources to use with your students.

~OPERATIONS~

Running Team!

Our final team roster is 53 runners! Katy Pieri is making Manzanita SEED decals to put on our running shirts. If you want one, you can pick it up from me at our pre-run picnic the day before the race, at Jefferson Square Park (7th St and Jefferson, a few blocks from the convention center where they will give out the shirts) from 11:00-1:00 (Sat. 3/21).

Please tell your friends and family that you are running to support our school! We are still accepting donations a this site from now until race day.

We also need volunteers to help the race organizers! This will count towards volunteer hours for the school's afterschool program. There are volunteer shifts on Saturday at the convention center from 12:15 to 6:15 or at the race on Sunday from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm. Please ask friends and family to sign up here:
