Secure Your Cannabis

Prevent accidental ingestion while kids are home.

Big picture

Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Secure Your Cannabis.

While children and youth are home from school, it's never been more important to Secure Your Cannabis. If you have children or teenagers in your home, please remember to secure cannabis (weed, marijuana, hashish) products to avoid accidental ingestion.

Last year multiple Cannabis retailers and community partners joined together to develop the Secure Your Cannabis campaign. We're doing an additional promotion of the campaign before, during and after April 20 (4/20), a date commonly associated with Cannabis.

The Herbery NW, Cannabis retailer, was involved in the design and implementation of the campaign. The Herbery NW is supporting our annual promotion of the campaign this week. Jim Mullen, Owner at The Herbery NW shares:

The Herbery believes it is our duty and responsibility to help prevent youth access to cannabis products, whether by sales from retail stores or through black market diversion, and so we are very proud to partner with the Prevent Coalition in Clark County. Youth access to drugs of all kinds is a community concern, and so we encourage our customers to have straight-forward and honest conversations with their children, families and friends so we can keep our youth well-informed and making smart decisions. Thank you to the Prevent Coalition for leading these efforts, we are proud to partner with you and cultivate a safer community.

What counts as secure?

Out of reach, out of sight, labeled right and sealed up tight.

You can learn more and download campaign materials at http://bit.ly/secureyourcannabis. The website outlines the campaign, offers tools for talking to youth about Cannabis, describes laws in Washington and provides materials you can download to implement point of purchase projects.

High End Market Place, cannabis retailer, was involved in the design and implementation process. Morgan Hutchinson, Owner, shares:

Morgan Hutchinson, Owner shared, "Through High End Market Place , I've been working with Prevent Coalition for several years and continue to be excited about being part of the conversation. All eyes are on us in this unfolding and highly influential new industry, and we want to make sure we are making the most responsible decisions for our business and the communities we are part of here in Vancouver."
