What Causes the Smallpox Virus and How is it Transmitted?
Smallpox is caused by the variola virus. This virus is spread from person to person, and through direct contact with infected bodily fluids.
What are the Symptoms and How do you Prevent it?
The symptoms of smallpox are very flu-like. They include high fever, chills, headaches, severe back pain, abdominal pain, and vomiting.
To avoid getting smallpox, you can get the smallpox vaccine if you are exposed to someone who is infected. This vaccine will protect you from 5 to 10 years.
