SHISD Mid-Week Message

Weekly Superintendent's Message for Spring Hill ISD

Proud Parents

I spend time each week bragging about the great students and teachers of Spring Hill ISD and this week is full of great things in our district as well. However, this week I want to spend a minute to take the superintendent hat off and brag as a father. This week, my wife and I had the honor of accompanying our daughter to Austin for the UIL State Academic meet. Mrs. Drueckhammer encouraged her to compete in the event as a sophomore and she advanced Regionals that year. This year, she set a goal to medal at each academic event: district, regional, and state. She accomplished her goals and medaled at district and regionals. This weekend, she achieved goal number three and finished 4th in State!

Thank you to Mrs. Drueckhammer for all of your support and organization, especially running through the thunderstorm in Austin back and forth to the car to make sure she had everything ready to compete. There is no way she could have reached her goals without your coaching, guidance, and support. Thank you to D'Lee Reagh for your support this weekend and support of all of our UIL academic competitions.

As her mother and I reflect back on the last four years, we realize that Spring Hill ISD is a truly special place. As graduation is less than a month away, we could not imagine a better place for our daughter to have spent her high school years. All of her teachers have been rock stars and an overall great experience. Congratulations Madison on reaching your goals. Continue to set your goals high and dream big. We love you! - Mom and Dad.

  • Kudos to Teri Burns for organizing another great athletic banquet. You Rock!

High School Art Paints the Intermediate

The Intermediate would like to thank Mr. Dunn and the High School Art Club for painting our windows and bringing a little school spirit to our cafeteria foyer. Lunch visitors, students and the staff have all commented how great it looks! Thank you for taking the time to spread the Panther spirit! ~ Natalie Mercer

Ryleigh Edmonds performs in Aladdin!

The Intermediate 3rd-grade class took a field trip to the Beltcher Center to attend the Aladdin Ballet. The performance was wonderful and our 3rd graders loved it! It was free for our students to attend. The best part was the students got to see one of our 4th grade students, Ryleigh Edmonds as she performed in the ballet.

Intermediate Chosen for Project Tornado

The Intermediate Campus was 1 of 4 schools chosen in East Texas for Project Tornado. It was the first time Mark Scirto ever Skyped with the schools and was trying a new program out to involve more schools at one time. How cool that our school was chosen! The kids learned a lot and got to interact via Skype.

SH Students Volunteer at the Miracle League Games

Spring Hill students took time out of their busy weekends to volunteer at the Miracle League games. The players were all smiles as the Spring Hill students helped them hit, run and catch throughout the games.
