2021-2022 School Year

A Message from Board of Education President Scott Phelps and Superintendent Brian McDonald, Ed.D

As the COVID-19 pandemic diminishes in Los Angeles County, we want to assure you about our intent to fully reopen the schools and welcome students back to a five-day schedule with in-person learning in the 2021-2022 school year.

We intend to open the new school year with the innovations and commitment that the teachers, administrators, and classified employees demonstrated during the pandemic so that our school system works for every single child in our schools.

We will also be prepared to adapt quickly in case the public health situation changes in the fall.

We successfully reopened schools for in-person learning and are anticipating the new school year with joy and hope, tempered and strengthened by all that each of you has done to move us beyond the pandemic.
