From The Principal's Desk
Greetings North Wales Families,
Phillies are on their way to the NLCS against the Arizona Diamondbacks! Let's show our support with a Phillies spirit day on Monday. Thank you to everyone that joined us for Sports Night on Friday. It was great seeing you and the kids had a great time.
For the remainder of the month we will have a spirit day each week. Please see the calendar below. This Wednesday is Rock Your Crocs/Comfy Shoes Day!

WIT AND WISDOM
In Wit and Wisdom, knowledge is obtained through five content stages. They are Wonder, Organize, Reveal, Distill, and Know.
During the Distill Stage: Students seek to understand the text as a sum of its parts, with the goal of achieving a profound understanding of the whole work. During this stage, students complete a quick write that explains the essential meaning with details. Significant details may include: problem solution, character changes and language patterns.
Cultural Highlights Of The Week

Coffee and Conversations- Grandparents Edition
Invitation to Grandparents who are Raising their Grandchildren
Smartwatch/Cell Phone Reminder
Please note, cell phones should be in silent mode or turned off and stored in bookbags throughout the day. Smartwatches should not be used to make calls, send messages, or take photos/videos during the school day. Also, note the school is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal electronic devices. Our school team will be reminding our students of these expectations regarding personal devices.
We thank all of our families for their continued support and cooperation in limiting disruptions to the classroom.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Holiday Assistance
Each year, North Wales Elementary School has partnered with several community resources to help our families in need with gifts and food over the holidays. While there may be many families in need, North Wales families are eligible to receive this holiday support if they meet the following criteria:
Families are in need of assistance for the holiday season.
Families are not receiving holiday assistance from another organization.
Families provide a thank you note that can be passed on to community resources (it could be signed “North Wales’ Family” to maintain confidentiality).
If your family is interested in this assistance, please complete this form. Or contact Tracy Schaefer, School Counselor, 215-699-4471 ext. 1652 or contact her at schaeft@npenn.org by Friday, Nov. 11th.
