Trojan Pride!

Doesn't it make you smile when you think of the amazing 2014 Trojan football season? The energy, enthusiasm, joy and pride this team brought to our community was infectious! We celebrate each and every person involved with the many successes of this group of young men! Go Trojans!!!!!!

Thankful Parent!

Mr. Joplin,

As a teacher at the high school and a parent of a student at your school, I realize that our profession is never easy or dull. I just wanted to take a moment to let you know how much I truly appreciate the dedication of your teachers. This morning as I was dropping Reece off, I realized how truly blessed I am for my child to attend the schools here in this county. As a parent, it's the little things that teachers do that make my life easier; for instance, standing in 15 degree weather to unload kids from cars and knowing that those same teachers will do the same thing this afternoon.

I know that this is part of their job description, but I'm not sure if they realize how truly appreciated they are, so if you would, please take a moment and let them know that the parents of the students they work with are truly grateful for them, and all the things they do, both great and small!

Thank you and have a great day!

More Gratitude!

I am sending you an email regarding my son, Mason. He is in third grade at Glade Creek. I just wanted to say that all of the staff at Glade Creek is wonderful!!!! Mason has autism, and it is amazing the lengths everyone there has went to to help him the last 4 years. They never cease to amaze me with their new ideas and just how hard they work for and with him. I can't tell you what this means for him and for myself as his mom. They do not give themselves enough credit and I don't think they hear it enough either. Heather Carpenter has worked with him the whole 4 years and Sherry Maines has been his teacher twice. They have never told me " I can't". It is always "let's try this" etc. This is his first year with class change and 4 teachers and they all have met the challenges head on and made it as easy as possible for him, all his teachers. Of course, I don't want to leave out Mrs. Linker, or Marcie Hart, Lyndi Dalton, and Scarlett Baldwin,
without their leadership, hard work, and determination, Mason may not have had this door opened. Let's also not forget all the other staff and Mason's former teachers, they paved the way for the next grades. I just want you to know how very special they are and how blessed our children, us parents, and yourself as their boss, are to have them all!!!!! Thank you for your time and please give them all an extra pat on tne back. They deserve it so very much!!!!!

Thank you, Connie Evans (published with Mrs. Evans permission)

Middle School Dance

I just wanted to send out a big THANK YOU! to everyone who came and helped make last Friday's dance a huge success! It was so great to have everyone here to help chaperone and make things go smoothly. I'm very thankful to work with such a great group of folks who come out and support our kids. The profit from the dance will greatly benefit the Beta Club members in going to the state convention in February. Thanks again and I hope everyone has a wonderful break!!

Santa Knows!

There have been many, many stories shared throughout this holiday season at every school, about how teachers and staff members have come together to support our kids! We know about you and are grateful for you every day. More importantly, we know that you are the LIGHT for so many children. Shine on!
