Match 7 Against McKinney. McKinney has a very small team but this is still a great opportunity for individuals to boost their personal scores and averages.

Match 5 against East

Varsity Boys

The Varsity Boys entered their toughest match since week 1 on a three match win streak, looking to continue their stellar performance. While there were flashes of brilliance during the singles play with Jacob Yazbeck rolling a 203 in game 1 and Pearson Davenport throwing a 204 in game 2, the Eagles were grounded by their East rivals. Showing great resolve and determination, the Eagles took games 1 and 2 in Baker, going 174 and 208, resulting in a "Winner Takes the Match Game 3". Unfortunately, the Boys fell just a bit short, giving the match to Plano East 9-6. Great effort! Great determination! Characteristics of champions, I am sure will pay dividends as we move forward.

JV Boys

The JV Boys competed in an equally exciting match against Plano East as the Varsity Boys. Jackson Andres and Brett Rau lead the Eagles in singles play, winning each of their matches. Heading into the Baker portion of the match down 5-2, the Eagles once again soared to new heights winning two games and the overall pin fall for a total of 6 points, 8 in total to win the match! When pressure was applied, the Eagles bowled their best. Way to go JVBs! That was some good bowling.

Match 6 against Plano Senior

Looking to rebound from the tough loss to East, the Eagles were facing another strong opponent in Plano Senior High. Although the Eagles had 4 of the 5 bowlers meet or exceed their current average in singles and averaging 175 as a team in Baker, the day belonged to Plano. Callouts for the match were Peran Howell (high match game score of 210), Pearson Davenport (172, 179) and Mitch Herman (175, 174) who showed perfect consistency on tough lane conditions. The Eagles bowled well!

JV Eagles

The JV Boys, coming off the come back win over Plano East, suffered a similar fate as the Varsity. Five of the Six bowlers competing exceeded their current per game average for the singles portion of the match, but the Eagles were only able to earn 1 point. Harris Williams was the lone Eagle to win his singles match (309 to 225). Great bowling Harris. Again winning the first two Baker games, the Eagles found themselves in a "Game 3 Winner Takes All" scenario. Unfortunately, we lost our line and lost game three 127-170, giving the match to Plano. The teams Baker performance continues to improve, as the group gains confidence and experience. Keep it up JVBs!

Lady Eagles

2014 is here! The Lady Eagle bowlers finished the first half of the season with a 2-4 record but were in contention in every match. The Lady Eagle bowlers showed a lot of improvement during the first half of the season while putting it all together in match play. All of the bowlers showed individual improvement, there were some outstanding match performances and a few nailbiting finishes. The Lady Eagles currently have two bowlers in the top 10 in the district (Kennedi Laughlin is third with a 197 average and Michelle Vega is tenth with a 160 average). The second half of the season promises to be exciting with a stronger and more experienced Lady Eagle bowling team!
