Ecotourism
Ecotourism is tourism that is directed to toward exotic ,often threatened, natural environments. This is important to be used to support conservation efforts and observation.
Rainforest
This rainforest is important to this region because it is the only one of its kind.
Some adventures in this rainforest you can tour the forest, see the many beautiful creatures in this rainforest, and their are zip line parks around the forest also.
Why Would Ecotourism be Important to this Region?
Ecotourism would benefit this region for many reasons one reason is that the northeast Ecological Corridor along the coast near El Yunque Rainforest is a primary nesting ground for the endangered leatherback sea turtle, and since this is an endangered animal this can help that it will be protected and that it will hopefully not become completely extinct.
