MY EVERYDAY HERO
Teresa Perales
Teresa Perales is an everyday hero because when she was 19 years old she was diagnosed with neuropathy and lost the use of her legs, she took up swimming at the age of 19, she joined the Aragon-based disability sport club CAI CDM a year later. A year after that, in 1997, she competed in her first Spanish championships, in which she won several medals. The following year, she made her national team debut at the IPC (International Paralympic Committe) swimming world championship in Christchurch, New Zelanda, where she won a bronze metal.
She works as swimmer. A typical working day fora swimmer means starting work at 10:00 AM and finishing at 19:30 PM. A swimmers works in a swimming pool.
At work she has to train a lot, talking with coaches and love swimming. To be a swimmer you need these skills: patience, flexibility and strength.
I would like to be a swimmer because it's very interesting and I like very much swim.
Iwould prefer to be a lawyer because it's fantastic to defend the innocent people and know all the laws.
