SIT Team Process
SIT Procedures: MUST READ
Here is the SIT procedures from our staff meeting. While I know this is a change, it's been how we've been quietly operating for the past couple of months. We are just putting it out there for everyone to see since we feel we have worked out the kinks. Change is hard, but know that I'm doing what I feel is best for kids. And, as always, if you have a question, please ask. We are more than willing to help you walk through this procedure.
NORMAL SIT PROCEDURE:
Teacher comes to Julie and Kelley during PLCs or a scheduled meeting to share concerns. We decide if we are ready for the SIT team after having a chance to go through current data.
Teacher’s fill out Student Solutions form (Found in the SIT folder on the T-Drive or on the S'more under Clear Creek One Stop below) and sends notification that is complete to Julie and/or Kelley so we can schedule your meeting
Team meet to help brainstorm accommodations and strategies. All decisions will be typed into the form by the team.
Team takes notes in the SIT agenda and sets follow up date to follow up on the student.
Data, Data, Data: Who ever is in charge of the data must collect data points and have them ready for the next meeting
OTHER WAYS TO LAND ON THE SIT CALENDAR:
- Students in crisis
- FastBridge or Benchmark data comes back as a concern during a data meeting. Data meetings will be held about 4 times a year and will be held after district wide assessments such as FastBridge
- A parent brings us a concern or has had an outside evaluation done
WHO SHOULD HAVE A SIT FORM?
- Anyone seeing Allison
- Anyone who is considered at risk according to FastBridge
- A child who might have parents who are concerned with performance or behavior. Especially if they have received an eval of some sort from an outside therapist or doctor.
Below is a link to the form (I will keep this in the S'more always) and a visual of where to find it via the Staff T Drive. Please let me know if the link doesn't work.
