Husky Happenings - Family Edition
Week of October 4th
GOOD NEWS!!
Good news!! Good News!! We have just received word that our COVID numbers have fallen low enough for us to be place back on Tier 2 protocols. This means we will be moving all students back to the cafeteria during lunches and desk shields will be available to students be request. We will be continuing to practice the protocol of closed water fountains and ask students to please bring refillable water bottles(Bottle fillers are still available on both 1st and 2nd floors.) and asking our teachers to clean desks between classes. Our 2nd floor restroom will remain closed this week. We are hoping to be able to open it by the start of the new 9 weeks and are anxiously awaiting parts and supplies. Parents, please continue check your students grades, reach out to their teachers and encourage them to attend tutoring. We are here to help. All teachers offer tutoring times both in the morning and afternoon as well as your students are always welcome to sign up/attend for Husky Help (See more information below). Please reach out if you need anything and have a great week. Also, Congratulations to our 8th Grade Football Team who was victorious over Hedrick last week!! GO HUSKIES!!

Technology and Learning
Many parents ask if technology is really needed to learn. The attached article shares the pros and cons of students not having access to technology. We are fortunate to be in a district who offers technology for all students at a minimal cost and has ways of getting discounted and sometimes free internet for families who do not have access at home. Please do not let finances be the reason your student does not have an Ipad. Reach out, we can help.
