International Dot Day 2020 is going to probably look different from any previous celebrations. Due to Covid-19, we may be celebrating away from our students, but we want to assure you that the celebration will go on!
To help inspire student (and teacher!) creativity, there are virtual choice boards that you can explore.
For this celebration, Mark Reynolds selected the theme “Connecting the Dots!” It is important for all of us to feel a connection because we are “All In This Together!”
Unlock over 70 hands-on sessions you can watch live or view later. Learn how to use cutting-edge tools and earn professional development credit!

The Pandemic is a Portal: Time for a Reset?
We know that going back to school might look very different for you and your students this year. 2020 has been a year of seismic shifts and changes, and as classes begin again (whether remotely or in person) World's Largest Lesson is excited to share a new lesson plan with you.
Using the beautiful and thought-provoking words of author and activist Arundhati Roy, "The Pandemic is a Portal", lesson plan includes a short animation, created to inspire viewers to reimagine the world anew.
We're inviting you to ask students how they might reimagine a future after the rupture that COVID-19 has caused. What does a return to normality really mean and how can we ensure that the Global Goals are achieved within this?
Please share your students’ ideas with them @TheWorldsLesson
About the Global Read Aloud
It happens once a year, starting in early October and running through mid-November. Due to the time commitment, this is only a once a year project, however, two fantastic spin-off projects run at other times; the New Zealand Read Aloud and the French version of GRA, Ecouter Lire le Monde.
Together, with Skype in the Classroom, they are bringing together a series of authors for 4 live events!Find out more by clicking HERE!
EVERY 2 SECONDS, SOMEONE IS FORCED TO FLEE THEIR HOME– that’s less than the time it takes to read this sentence.
Doctor or artist, architect or teacher, most displaced people struggle to earn a living.
At the same time, in an increasingly interconnected world, global understanding has never been more critical to professional success.
NaTakallam offers language, translation and cultural exchange services delivered by individuals who’ve been forced to leave their homes, providing them access to income at times where they might otherwise be cut off from the traditional economy in their temporary homes.
At NaTakallam, language is life saving.

About the Course
Collaborating on a multimedia project can be a very exciting way for students to get to know each other, collaborate creatively, as well as produce a valuable product for communication. A multimedia project can demonstrate learning not only about a specific topic, but also about the process of collaboration. Teachers play a critical role in supporting this process.
This course does not contain any specific content knowledge, and we assume that the partner classes have chosen a topic, perhaps a driving question, and selected learning resource materials that will become the "fodder" or content of the multimedia product(s) made.
Our Mission, Vision, and Values
The Mission of the ISTE Global Collaboration Network (GCN) is to provide resources and support to the education community to make meaningful and equitable global collaborations and connections through the use of technology for educators and their students.
Vision:
We are a supportive, inclusive, and caring community where all individuals connect and collaborate globally, feeling empowered to improve the world.
GCN Values:
Collaborators- We work together toward a common mission, empowering students to work with each other through an accessible, interconnected sharing of experience and exchange of ideas.
Globally-minded- We respect diversity and are curious about differences, are culturally aware, understand many perspectives, recognize that time is fluid and measured in many ways, and champion the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Communicators- We seek to understand, to be responsive, and to amplify each other.
Connectors- We cultivate personal and human relationships because we care about each other.
