Early School Pick Up
There is a new trend of parents regularly picking their children up from school between the times of 2:45 and 3:25 unexpectedly. Parents are appearing at the office, or calling the office, during the hour before dismissal and requesting to pick their student up early. This is very disruptive to the learning process and is not in keeping with safe school practices. In addition this is keeping office staff spending all of their time at the end of the day handling early dismissals instead of attending to other tasks. While there is no official policy in place yet as to early pick up from school other than in the area of attendance, the School Advisory will be looking into this issue to create policy. At this time we request the courtesy of an advance phone call BEFORE 2:30 if you need to pick your child up early. We also ask that parents only pick up early at the office if there is an URGENT need. Picking up for parent's convenience of a few extra minutes or not waiting in the line is not an urgent need. We appreciate your support in this matter.
