Kids of Character
After speaking with a few teachers, I realized that many of you have never had a chance to experience this and see how impactful this recognition is for our learners and our families.
I want to extend an invitation for you to come! We have 5 Breakfasts remaining this semester. Please work as a team, and provide each other coverage at 7:30 if you would like to join in. It's definitely worth the time seeing how proud our kids and parents are of the comments you have submitted.
Coach's Corner
A Note from your Coach
It's the middle of the year....how you doing on that T-TESS goal you set back in September?🙂 Sometimes it helps to talk it through with someone! I've had some really productive conversations with teachers about T-TESS goals, and it usually takes us under 20 minutes to come up with what a good next step might be. If you would like to chat about any goal you have for this semester (doesn't have to be your T-TESS goal), just let me know by clicking on this link, and I will reach out to schedule a time.
Save The Date
To accommodate the additional required testing trainings, and ensure that all meetings (and TELPAS Calibrations) stay on Wednesdays, there have been a few shifts to our normal Wednesday meetings schedule.
All staff will need to attend the training on Wednesday, January 29th.
Supporting Our Language Learners in the Classroom
Still needing flex hours for this school year? Our Wilson Book Study Schoology Course, Sheltered Instruction in Texas: Second Language Acquisition Methods for Teachers of ELs is open through May 15th. If you did not have an opportunity to participate in our Shake it Up Cohort in the Fall, you may still complete this course in Schoology to receive 6 flex credit hours for the 2019-2020 school year.

MAP Testing
As with the first round of MAP, we are trying to divide up testing so as not to overwhelm our delicate network. We have already split up grade levels into designated weeks within the window.
YOUR next step is to add your name and indicate which days you'll be testing! Please use the button below, and add your name/times to the sheet.
PTO Grants
I hope you'll consider taking advantage of this great opportunity from our PTO. Last year's recipients received funds for trainings, resources, tech tools, and even yoga mats.
Information about the process and requirements, as well as the application, may be accessed below.
This Grant is open to all staff (PreK, Support Staff, Specials included).
