Mrs. Sharp's News

Richard Shields Elem. Oct. 1, 2015

October is here!

We have been busy! One month of school went by super fast. In Math we continue to work on place value, addition and subtraction strategies with larger number. As well as reading story problems and figuring ways to solve them. Science has been unsqueakably fun with Owl Pellets. (Unsqueakably is a favorite word of Humphrey's- he is our read aloud book character). Social Studies we are learning to be good citizens and have a growth mindset. Third graders have been learning to read, NOW they are reading to learn! They are learning about character traits, story elements, and central messages. Ask your child about our fun stories!
