I hope your summer is off to a wonderful start! Here at the extension office, we are busy planning and prepping for summer workshops, camps, and fairs! Please notice the number of upcoming deadlines in the month of June that are posted in this newsletter!

2022 County Fair Information
Attention all Lincoln, Logan, & McPherson County 4-Hers!!!
- Pre-Fair Entry Websites open June 1st!! View the Instructions to the right.
- Stop into the Extension Office to pick up your Fairbook today or visit https://extension.unl.edu/statewide/lincolnmcpherson/2022-fair-book/ to view the online 2022 Lincoln, Logan, & McPherson County Fairbook.
- Animal Affidavits can be picked up at the Extension Office or found at: https://extension.unl.edu/statewide/lincolnmcpherson/animal-affidavits/. All Animal Affidavits are due to the Extension Office by 5 p.m. June 15th 2022. Horse ID's are due June 1, 2022 by 5 p.m.
- YQCA (Quality Assurance for Animals) must be completed by June 15th and Certificate of completion submitted to the Extension Office. See flyer below for more information. Only one more in-person training left on June 13th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
YQCA - Quality Assurance
****To receive credit for YQCA - Quality Assurance, youth must submit their YQCA Certificate to the Extension Office by June 15, 2022 5 p.m. The Extension staff does not have access to view completion of your YQCA training. To register visit: https://yqcaprogram.org/
Lincoln County Fair and Livestock Information
4-H Enrollment is due June 15th to participate in the County and/or State Fair.

State Fair Animal Nomination
Premier Animal Science Event (PASE) - June 1st Deadline!
The Premier Animal Science Event (PASE) will be held on Wednesday, June 22 and Thursday, June 23 on the UNL Campus. Contests available to enter are Meats Judging, Poultry Judging, Livestock Quiz Bowl, Livestock Skill-a-Thon, and Livestock Judging Contest. Youth must be ages 10-18 on January 1st of the current year in order to attend. Please contact Amber at 532-2683 or amber.willard@unl.edu is you are interested in participating in any of these contests before June 1st!


High School students (ages 14-18)! We are inviting you to join us for the Youth Leadership Conference, June 24-26, 2021, at the Nebraska State 4-H Camp in Halsey, NE. Learn more and register at 4h.unl.edu/leadership-conference by June 1st to claim your spot in this amazing experience. The cost for YLC will be $200. We’ll be taking advantage of some traditional camp activities while integrating leadership workshops, speakers, and an overall topic of mental wellness in leadership to bring together and develop the leaders of Nebraska 4-H!
