Checking planners in itslearning

If you're a classroom teacher, you probably hear students say how many tests or quizzes they have on the same day all the time. If this is something that concerns you, did you know that you check it out to see how right they are or how much they exaggerate? :)

Check out instructions for seeing planners by clicking HERE.

Top SchoolCity Schools

Not that it's a competition or anything, but if you're looking to see how your school stacks up against the rest of the county with using SchoolCity, below are the top 5 secondary schools for the number of log-ins since July 3rd (my first day on the job).

  1. South Forsyth Middle School (2278 log-ins)
  2. North Forsyth High School (1879 log-ins)
  3. Lambert High School (1184 log-ins)
  4. Vickery Creek Middle School (1030 log-ins)
  5. DeSana Middle School (832 log-ins)

Do you have questions about how you can use SchoolCity more effectively or just about how to use it? I'm happy to come out to work with ITSs, Counselors, Admin, individual or small groups of teachers! If I don't know the answer, I'll help search for ut!

peergrade.io

I found this handy tool from my Feedly and thought I would share for those looking for ways that technology can help with writing assignments.

From the PeerGrade.io website:

"Peergrade is a free online platform to facilitate peer feedback sessions with students."

There are both free and paid options, but free seems to do a bulk of what is needed for peer assessments. There is even a section on the PEDAGOGY behind peer assessments, which I think is amazing! Pedagogy, first?!? YES!

If you or your teachers use it, please let me know how it goes! I'd love to help work out kinks or see it in action first-hand!
