Upcoming Staff Meetings

Here are the topics for this months staff meetings.

Dec. 4th-

The Importance of Pruning in Our Lives

  • Are we overloading our days? Take a look at your daily schedule and see if all the things you're planning for are having a big impact on student learning. Can you gain back some time in your day to focus on nourishing the fruit?

Dec. 11th-

Tier II Supports at Your Grade Level

  • Tier I is all about the Core. With the switch to the RtI model, how are we doing with supporting our kids with intervening right away? We will work on brainstorming and creating a document similar to a Tier III district document that was created by Krista Carson and Darcy Swan, for each specific grade level.

Dec. 18th-

Planning Utilizing the Data

  • In your team meetings following testing, there will be a data protocol to analyze how students are doing. In this meeting, time will be given for your grade levels to update any interventions needed in Skyward, as well as to work with your team on small groups and formulating a plan for when we return from break.

Team Meeting and SIT reminders

Team Meetings

  • Utilized when you've begun interventions, however you and/or your team are stuck with what to do next. We will schedule these on Wed. with sped., SW, reading interventionist, admin, and psych to help brainstorm ideas and ensure you're collecting data that can be utilized for future choices.

SIT Team Meetings

  • A SIT checklist was created to ensure you've followed a more formal process prior to a team meeting with parents. I've attached the checklist below. In order to give an intervention a chance, we usually look for 6-8 data points over the course of 5-8 weeks.

Limited/Restricted Student Contact

Limited/Restricted Student Contact

Elementary Secretaries have been working to make sure that all alerts regarding limited or restricted contact with a student are put into a Parental Consent note. On the Office side, this note will appear on a student profile as a bright green note, and also with a red #7 indicator. Click on either of these two icons to see the content of the note.

Principals - please communicate to teachers that these alerts will also appear in their Gradebook. Again, if they click on the note, they will see the content of the note.
