This week...

This week in World Cultures we are analyzing the worlds biggest issues. The major issues we will discuss will be ISIS, Nuclear Proliferation, food insecurity, overpopulation, the environment, and other worldwide social issues like gender inequality. At the end of the week students will be asked to choose what they believe to be the worlds biggest issue and support their claim.


Block 1 and 2

- Students will Analyze Political Cartoons.

- Students will analyze primary and secondary sources.

- Students will identify the world's biggest problem.

- Students will develop and thesis and support it.

- Students will be assessed on what they believe is the world's biggest issue.

Homework: Prepare for assessment on Friday. Students will be asked to answer the question "What is the world's biggest problem?" in essay format.



Block 4

- Students will identify what their own biggest problem is.

- Students will Analyze Political Cartoons.

- Students will analyze primary and secondary sources.

- Students will identify the world's biggest problem.

- Students will create a topic sentence and support it.

- Students will be assessed on why ISIS is the world's biggest problem.

Homework: Prepare for assessment on Friday. Students will be asked to answer the question "Why is ISIS the world's biggest issue?" in topic sentence and paragraph format.
