St. Joseph eUpdate

Moving Along with Mrs. Maddox
Dear Jaguar Families,
Spring is here and with the promise of sunshine and cool, rainy days comes a packed calendar for most busy families. Soccer practices, baseball games and track meets are all in full swing, and our 4th and final quarter is off to a great start. It will be important that we continue to work hard and finish strong, and not get distracted by the many fun activities we have all looked forward to for weeks. This is easier said than done, especially when there are so many blessed and sacred traditions that take place during the spring. Throughout this month and into April, our students have been practicing their Lenten sacrifices, preparing for Reconciliation and Easter, and our 8th grade celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation, and our 2nd grade students are anxiously awaiting their First Holy Communion. These celebrations of our faith are reverent reminders of the virtue of Hope, which we have all clung to over the past few years. Although our lives continue to be busy and somewhat distracted, it is nice to have the season of Lent to help us slow down, pray, prepare and await our Lord’s Resurrection. I hope your Lenten journey has been fruitful, please keep all of our students, but especially our 2nd grade and 8th grade students, in your prayers as they prepare, plan, and participate in the Holy Sacraments of Reconciliation and Confirmation, and as they prepare to receive their First Holy Eucharist.
With a Grateful Heart,
Congrats to our 8th graders who got confirmed!

American Heart Challenge-Update!
We are now into our final week of the Kids Heart Challenge (K-5) and the American Heart Challenge (6th-8th). Our deadline is next week on March 31st. A big thank you to all the families who have already made donations. St. Joseph's is so close to reaching our goal. We have raised $2,872 thus far and our goal is $3,800. Let's keep the challenge going during our final week. It's so fun to see how excited our students are when they receive their thank you gifts. Even more rewarding is the fact that our community is helping the American Heart Association and families affected with heart conditions. So let's make this final push to reach our goal in this coming week.

ALL lunch account balances must be paid at the end of the school year in order to receive report cards. Thank you for the support of our lunch and snack program. We have had another successful year.
