In Person Student Meet and Greet
We would like to bring students into school in small groups. During this time they would get a chance to drop off school supplies in their classrooms, meet the teacher, learn school procedures and get a chromebook if they do not have one. There is no bus transportation for this time. Parents, we ask that you use school bus lanes to drop off and pick up students. The schedule is as follows.
3rd grade
Wednesday, 8/19
8:30-10:30 - A-L
11:30-1:30 - M-Z
4th grade
Thursday, 8/20
8:30-10:30 - A-L
11:30-1:30 - M-Z
5th grade
Friday, 8/21
8:30-10:30 - A-L
11:30-1:30 - M-Z
*Please note there are a small number of classrooms that do not have a balanced A-Z list, so teachers will contact you with any time changes.
TECHNOLOGY DEVICES
For students who were issued an iPad last spring, please bring the iPad back to school during your small group in-person. We will exchange it for a chromebook.
For students that did NOT have a device in the spring, you will be given a chromebook on the small group day.
If you were issued a device last spring, and the device is lost or damaged, the replacement cost is $250. Please e-mail Irma Dominguez at Irma.Dominguez@d303.org to send a fee via push-coin. A new device will not be issued until the lost/damaged device replacement cost is paid.
Student Medication Drop Off
If your child requires medication to be administered at school, we are offering a curbside drop off opportunity on the same day and at the same time that your student has their “Meet and Greet” with their teacher. You will pull into the drop off lane when dropping your student off and there will be staff with radios who can alert the health office staff that there is a medication drop off. A nurse will come out to receive the medication and check the accompanying paperwork. Attached is the medication authorization form if you need a copy. https://drive.google.com/open?id=17fnM0ejhNTARY_YwdeSf2Ac7F7Fhxzo8
D303 Student Health Certification Procedures - MUST COMPLETE BEFORE COMING TO RICHMOND FOR IN PERSON MEET AND GREET
The below steps outline D303 procedures for Student Health Certification created in conjunction with guidance from the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control. The steps in this document are written for students coming onsite for IN PERSON MEET AND GREET ONLY. We will use a slightly different process for the school year, but parents will still log in and certify each day.
On a daily basis, parents (on behalf of their students) and staff will be required to self-certify that they are not experiencing any COVID-19 related symptoms prior to entering a D303 school building. NOTE: The self-certification must be completed before your child comes for meet and greet. When you arrive for the meet and greet we will ask you to show the green pass on your phone or the ticket that you have printed.
During the school year you will log in each day and answer the screening questions before your child leaves for school. A luggage tag on your child's backpack will be used for you to indicate a "green pass" or "a clear to come to school". This process will be shared with you next week.
Parents
Please use this Self Certification web site and login using your HAC Parent username and password.
Once you are logged in, for each of your students please read the screening questions to determine if your student meets the criteria and is healthy to come to school each day.
You will select No to each of the questions if your student is healthy and ready to come to school.
You will select Yes for any of the questions if your student is experiencing any of the symptoms related to COVID-19.
Once you make your selection, please click Submit. When you select No, the app will present you with a Green Pass; When you select Yes, a Warning will be displayed indicating that your student should not attend school that day
The video attached was created for our high school parents self-certifying their students for athletic practice. However the same process will be used for the meet and greet and during the school year. video
August 19-25
