This week's attendance rate...
Our LVMS campus goal is to reach 98%!!
This week's attendance rate = 95% (getting better)
Attendance: Spring is the time of the year when absences start to pile up. Be sure you are aware of the consequences for your student missing too much school. Our campus goal is to reach 98%. If a student is at school, we receive funding for that student. If they are not in school, we do not receive funding.
Weird, but true, attendance fact: If your student is present for any part of the school day and leaves for a medical appointment, they won't get counted absent for that day as long as they bring a doctor's note. If they are absent for the entire day for a doctor's appointment, it will be counted as an absence.
If you need to talk to us about your child's attendance, including absences, doctor's notes, students needing to leave school early, please call our attendance clerk,monica_kaiser@lagovista.txed.net, 512-267-8300 #2503.

Our last character trait of the year is Gratitude. We will encourage students to acknowledge someone that they are grateful for this school year. Students may write a thank you note or email, or simply say “thanks” in person. It is a great time to recognize someone who has been impactful. On another note, final exams will begin at the end of next week, please reinforce the importance of finishing strong to your child. Thank you for your support with this message.
Bleacher Report...
This year we brought back golf to the middle school and we had a great turnout. The student athletes competed in four separate tournaments against mostly schools that are bigger than we are. All of our participants showed great improvement throughout the season not only in scores but also in their consistency of ball striking ability. I also firmly believe that they began to really enjoy playing this great game. Overall it was a great season and I know that this will help propel them forward into more success in the future not only at the middle school level, but also carry over into their high school years. I would thank Mrs. Malonie Moeller for helping me this year as well as the Lago Vista Golf Club for providing the facility for our athletes to work on and improve their skill.
