Morning Traffic Flow
- Enter from the Klem South Drive & make a loop around our front parking lot.
- Drop students off at the base of the building at the crosswalk (Red X on map).
- Exit out of Klem South Drive.
- See map below.
Notes from our School Nurse
- If your child is injured, we must have a physician's note outlining restrictions for PE and recess. The health office also needs a physician's note for when your child is no longer restricted.
- Thank you for providing the health office with a copy of your child’s current physical. Your pediatrician DOES NOT automatically send the school a copy. The parent must request it. NYS requires a current physical (dated one year prior to the start of school) on file in the school for kindergarteners, 1st, 3rd and 5th graders.
- Please continue to send your child in with hat, gloves and coat for outdoor recess.
- Thank you for keeping your child home if they are too ill (severe coughing, vomiting) and or have a fever. Students must be fever free for 24 hours without the use of medicine before returning back to school.
- Check out the Klem North school website under health office for more information and forms.
- Please read below:
WHOOPING COUGH
A reminder about Pertussis (Whooping Cough): Pertussis is always present in the community and usually starts to increase about the same time as the flu. If your child develops a persistent cough that becomes worse over time, he/she should be evaluated by his/her physician so that the appropriate tests are performed and treatment is initiated.
Pertussis most often occurs in infants and younger children who frequently acquire the disease from older siblings, adolescents, and adults who have a mild disease. While Pertussis most frequently occurs in unvaccinated or under-vaccinated children, it also occurs in school-age children and adults who have had the recommended Pertussis immunizations.
