Rountree PTA - 2021-2022 Recap & A Note of Thanks
As you review this month’s PTA 2021-2022 recap newsletter attached below, please know how much thanks comes with each accomplishment! No Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is able to advocate alone. We need each other. The great thing is that there is a place for everyone to be engaged. Whether your time is limited or completely open and free, please know that it adds value to your child’s experience and to our campus family.
A very special thank you goes to our previous and current Presidents from this school year. From Mrs. Housley to Mrs. Blanchette, Mrs. Cedillo, Mrs. Romo, Mrs. Sharpe, the entire PTA Executive Board, every Member and Supporter, YOU ARE APPRECIATED! Thank you for leading and ensuring that our Students, Families, Teachers and Staff felt loved and appreciated every step of the way!
Have a wonderful summer!
- Mrs. Utecht, Mrs. Harrison & Mr. Leary
Honoring the Retirement of 3 Amazing Educators!

Parents of Current 6th Graders - Mustang Roundup
Mustang Roundup, Ford Middle School's incoming 7th grader and new student orientation, will be held on Tuesday, July 26th and Thursday, July 28th. Parents should choose one of the two dates for their student to attend. Parents will drop off their student at the Main Gym entrance at 9:00am and will pick up their student at the same location at 11:00am. While at Ford, students will be provided with a tour of the building as well as opportunities to learn about procedures, programs, activities, and events. Attendance is not required, but highly recommended. This event is for students only. This will be an exciting opportunity to learn more about the school and to meet new friends. We look forward to meeting and getting to know our new Mustangs! Please click here to complete the Mustang Roundup registration form and to let us know which day your student is attending. Thank you!

Internet Safety Tips
Please take a look:
Internet safety
As kids get older, it gets a little trickier to monitor their time spent online. They may carry a smartphone with them at all times. They probably want some privacy. This can be healthy, but often dangerous, when various sites are overlooked. Yes, the internet can provide a safe "virtual" environment for exploring some newfound freedom if precautions are taken.
- Talk about the sites and apps teens use and their online experiences - visit them yourself- check it out.
- Discuss the dangers of interacting with strangers online.
- Remind them that people online don't always tell the truth.
- Explain that passwords are there to protect against things like identity theft. They should never share them with anyone, even a boyfriend, girlfriend, or best friend.
Parents, taking an active role in your kids' Internet activities helps ensure that they benefit from them without being exposed to the potential dangers.

Half-day & Full-day Prekindergarten Program
In the 2022-2023 school year, Allen ISD will serve eligible students in a half-day Prekindergarten program and a full-day Prekindergarten program. There are limited seats for the full-day program.
The full-day program will consist of two full-day monolingual Prekindergarten classes and one full-day bilingual Prekindergarten class. All three full-day classes will be located at Rountree Elementary. A Prekindergarten lottery process will be held for the full-day available class seats. In order to be considered for the Prekindergarten lottery for the 2022-2023 school year, families must complete the Prekindergarten registration process and submit all required documentation by Thursday, May 26, 2022. Families will receive email notification of selection or wait list during the week of June 20th. Families of selected students must confirm their acceptance and commitment for the 2022-2023 school year by the established deadline.
