Below are two quick opportunities for our caregivers to share their ideas and input with our District team and with the State of Illinois.

• ALL parents and caregivers to share their feedback on what they'd like to learn more about for some possible "Caregiver Ed" events this spring and possibly into the fall. Hopefully getting your input will boost engagement as I plan for the months ahead for meaningful connections with our community. • 'Tis the season for our annual 5Essentials survey. This survey is given to all staff, our 4th and 5th grade students, and our caregivers to gather feedback on our academics, overall climate and connection to one another, and leadership (at the building level and as a district). This input is combined to create an overall "grade/rating" for our school on our State Report Card. The real value of the 5Essentials survey is our ability to look at the feedback and to set goals for where and how we'd like to improve our practices and systems. Fun Fair
Fun Fair is coming back to Avoca West on February 26! This is a fun event for all ages! Please sign up by February 17 so we can distribute wristbands to all students by February 22. You can sign up with this Google Form or the paper form we sent home with your child. We accept cash, checks (payable to Avoca PTC), or credit cards via the Membership Toolkit App. Questions? 2023 Summer Enrichment Program
Nothing says, “Hello, Winter!” like planning for summer! District 39’s Summer Enrichment Program 2023 is getting ready for another incredible season of summer programming. Avoca students are able to participate in this program. To help your family prepare for success, please read this letter. Registration will run from Monday, February 20 through Friday, March 24.

Volunteer at the Fun Fair
We are still in need of volunteers to help put on the largest school event of the year, the 2023 Avoca West Fun Fair. The Fun Fair is an annual event where the school is transformed into a carnival-like atmosphere with games, music, fun activities, prizes, teacher raffles, and a silent auction for parents.
