Achieving Academic Success Without the STAAR

At 4Points Academy we do not administer the STAAR test. Instead our teachers focus on providing true individualized instruction based on the academic abilities of our student. We believe that performance on a single, high-pressure, exam is not the best indicator of student’s ability, knowledge, or their academic placement.


4Points Academy provides an individualized learning path for each child, that includes periodic feedback on what each child is learning. Our methodology ensures the child learns the content, all without the high pressure of and/or focus towards a single standardize test.

To say that Texas’ standardized testing system, STAAR, has been embattled lately is putting it mildly. Last year’s massive statewide testing irregularities led to a lawsuit against the Texas Education Agency itself, the eventual scrapping of the STAAR scores for fifth and eighth grade, and a $20.5 million fine levied by TEA against ETS – the testing company that both writes and grades STAAR. Texas is in the midst of a public relations nightmare, as parents of young students keep their kids out of school during STAAR testing because they conscientiously object to their children taking a test that many consider discriminatory, unfair and useless.

Children's Business Fair

4Points Academy is excited to be hosting the first ever Acton Business Fair in Steiner Ranch. We believe its a wonderful opportunity to foster entrepreneurship in our children.


The fair will encourage kids to develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing strategy, and then open for customers at our one-day marketplace.
