Week 24
I hope everyone enjoyed the warmer weather this weekend, and what was left of the snow. Monday is our 100th day of school! Yay! We will do some fun exercises 10 times (to add up to 100) and have things that add up to 100.
Information for Spring Picture day and Valentine's Day Party is below. They are on Tuesday and Friday, respectively.
This is our third week in our Favorite Tales and Rhymes unit. Week three is focused on Tales of Three. This weeks fairy tales and rhymes will have a theme of three, three little pigs, three bears, etc.
Vocabulary for this week is: make-believe, manners, tales
The letter for this week will be letter S. The letter S can be found in all sorts of places, how many can they find? Sand, snow, snake, snack, size; what else begins with S? How can they make the letter S? Salt tray, snow, clothes, yarn?
We will continue to use S.T.A.R, Balloon breathing, Bunny Breathing, and the Drain as our calm down strategies.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns! Contact information is below!
Spring Picture Day! February 8th!!
We will have Spring pictures as well as Class and Yearbook Group pictures.
If your student is in a group that has a t-shirt (OM, STUCO, Jr Guard) please send the shirt in with them for the group picture which will be taken first thing in the morning. They can change for the Spring and Class picture.
As Strawbridge did last spring, everyone who takes an individual picture will get a packet of pictures. You will select the ones you want, pay for those and return the ones not desired. You can pay online or with the envelope provided. There is not a preorder with Spring pictures.
Class pictures are free and everyone will get one! If you are not wanting your student in a class picture, please contact the office.
If you have any questions, I’m happy to assist!
Have a wonderful day!

Fine Motor Practice and Self-help Skills
I have included the link to Michele Gregor's page, she has a ton of ways to strengthen their muscles at home. If you have questions, please let me know.
We are continuing to practice self help skills in the classroom to work on independence. They are getting so great at putting their own coats on, that we are starting to work on putting their own masks on by themselves. Since we are using more liquid glue, we are working on how to get it off it gets on their hands. Our classroom technique is to rub our hands together to get the glue off, so we can keep working on our craft without having to stop and wash each time.
