We are starting our third six weeks and are expecting scholars to understand and display the district and campus expectations. Please support the campus by reviewing the student code of conduct with your scholar. We are excited to continue the partnership this year!

Gifted and Talented Nomination Period- Starting November 1st
The Gifted & Talented Nominations Period will open on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, and will run through December 2, 2022. The online form may be accessed through the district GT website under referrals and screening. GT Testing will occur between January 30, 2022, and February 10, 2022, for all Kindergarten and any 1st -12th grade nominated scholars.

MENTAL HEALTH FAMILY RESOURCES
1. HAMILTON COUNSELING & CONSULTING
Address: 777 E Wheatland Rd Suite #101, Duncanville, TX 75116
- Speak to the school counselor
- Parent completes and signs a referral
- Hamilton staff will contact you to schedule an intake in office
- Once the intake is complete, your scholar will be paired with a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate
- The LPC-A will come to campus for scheduled sessions once a week.

At any time, students, staff, and families may contact the 24/7/365 multilingual team of Care Companions at 888-515-0595 or use your custom link: caresolace.com/cedarhill, to confidentially find providers on your own.

4. TCHATT (TEXAS CHILD ACESS HEALTH THROUGH TELEMEDICINE)
• Speak with your school counselor if you have behavioral health concerns for your child, I can make a referral and have you complete consent forms
• A licensed behavioral health provider will reach out to you and complete a telephonic assessment to determine the appropriate next steps
• Next steps may include short-term virtual counseling with our clinician, psychiatric consultation, connection to community resources, supportive case management

ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL REMINDERS
- Have your white or purple dismissal card visible at all times during dismissal
- Avoid last minute changes to your scholars method home
- Communicate with the teacher 2-3 days in advance of any changes to dismissal
- Highlands staff will only accept students to change dismissal methods when communicated by the parent first.
- DO NOT ENTER the parking lot through the exit lanes
- Follow the directions of the staff that are on duty during dismissal
- All student after 3:50 must be picked up in the front at door 1
