Monthly Memo from the Principal
Mrs. Robbins- March 2020
Take me out to the ballgame...
So many fun things are happening in March. It is definitely one of the most exciting times of the year. I personally love it because baseball season is kicking off, the grass starts to come back, and my oldest daughter Emma turns 16 years old tomorrow (pray for us). If you have ever been down the road (literally) of teaching a child how to drive, then you get what I am saying. It is one of the scariest things I have ever done, but also very exciting to think of all of the errands she can run for us once she has her license. Thank goodness for the bright side!
My son plays 12U NL baseball at CPYL and he had his first regular season game this past weekend. It was the perfect day for baseball. The sun was out, but it wasn't sweaty hot and the wind was blowing, but just enough to prevent the bees from grabbing onto my sweet tea straw. I also loved it because I was able to watch a few different Huskies play ball. I love watching our kids have fun. It is the BEST! If you have a kid playing at CPYL...let me know...we are there all of the time. I would love to catch one of their games too!
For that matter, fill out this form and let us know when your Husky has something huge going on outside of school. Not just sports! We would love to celebrate their successes outside of school here at PHE.
The following are all PHEnomenal events happening this month:
March 13th- Field Day
March 16th-23rd- Spring Break
March 24th- Good luck to Calvin the next round of state Spelling Bee!
March 26th- Healthy Husky Night
March 27th- Hat Day and C2 meeting
March 30th-April 3rd- 4th grade Writing Camp
See our website for a complete list of events and more information on field trips for each grade level!
Congratulations and Good Luck Calvin!
Destination Imagination team moving on to STATE!!
One of those teams belongs to PHE. Please see members below. This amazing group of kids make us very proud. They are one of only TWO elementary teams moving on. ONLY TWO. The rest were all middle school teams. Please join me in congratulating them on all of the hard work and efforts. Last month, they completed the hygeine drive here at PHE and donated hundreds of personal care items to local people in need as part of their Destination Imagination plan.
Also, a huge thank you to their parents and Heather Kiec (our QUEST teacher) for their support and guidance to these students. It takes a village!
