All about
The Coastal Plains are the largest plains in all of Texas. They cover the eastern and southern portions of Texas and reach to the middle of the state. Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, Galveston and Corpus Christi are all part of the Coastal Plains region. The land of the Coastal Plains is flat, which is good for farming, ranching, and the fishing industry. Farmers do well growing vegetables and Christmas trees in this plain. The lands also includes the Piney Woods, Post Oak Belt, and the Black Land Prairie. The Coastal Plains are typically hot and humid, with 30-55 inches of rain per year. Tornadoes and hurricanes are also common in this region.
