Your Reading Path FREE RESOURCE
YourReadingPath.com is based on the simple belief that reading is important for children and young adults. Reading is essential to academic achievement and independent life-long learning.
Building a library at home is a significant contributor to student performance and success, and supports reading as a source of fulfillment and pleasure. Taking ownership of any book can also mean taking ownership of the knowledge and insights inside. YourReadingPath.com helps pave the way to a path of reading pleasure that begins in childhood and never ends.
For years, teachers, parents, and kids have relied on the NWEA MAP Test results to measure individual student’s reading status and growth, regardless of grade level. To support the development of the habit of independent reading, YourReadingPath.com provides an easy way to use MAP Reading RIT scores to find great books at appropriate Reading Levels for every young reader. YourReadingPath.com offers books on a wide range of topics of interest to readers from Kindergarten through High School. All books on YourReadingPath.com are searchable not only by MAP RIT score and topic, but also by age to ensure the most appropriate match of readability and age appropriateness.
We are proud to offer thousands of specially-priced books across a wide range of informational topics, fictional genres, and Reading Levels, from some of the finest publishers of books for children and young adults such as Rosen Publishing, Enslow Publishing, Cavendish Square Publishing, Britannica Educational Publishing, Greenhaven Publishing, KidHaven Publishing, Lucent Press, Gareth Stevens Publishing, and PowerKids Press.

Weekly Social Media Submission Schedule
The Public Relations Committee met Wednesday this week. This committee comes together to plan for how we can tell our story. Yesterday we discussed a rotation of when teachers should send a picture and a caption to Sara (via email) and Carie (via text) to be shared on social media. We are asking that your caption begin with "#EbinportLiftsMe because" so that we can continue to get our hashtag out and tell OUR story! Please send a picture on the day you are assigned below. If you need to write this in your lesson plans so you remember, that might be a good idea!

The sunshine committee is collecting dues for the 2019-2020 school year. The cost is $25 for all staff members. Please look for an envelope in your box for instructions on how to turn in your money to Mrs. Clarke.
The beautification committee has great plans for the lost and found! Be on the lookout for future instructions. We are having a school garden clean up day on Sept. 28. We hope to see you there!
PBIS Committee Notes
PBIS has set forth 4 school-wide goals that we will be working on this year:
GOAL 1: revisiting codes for K-2 to include/take away behaviors to make them student friendly
GOAL 2: defining and implementing restorative circles/discipline for replacement behavior
GOAL 3: develop school-wide incentives and follow-through
GOAL 4: develop a plan for teacher care
-Work for GOAL 3 is underway and will roll out soon, please see your grade level representative for information and to share ideas
Safety Committee Committee
Current Concerns - Safety Committee
- Consider rubberizing the concrete on the 4K and kindergarten playground. Students are consistently getting hurt on the playground. The new ramp is causing additional problems.
- Each homeroom teacher needs an emergency clipboard with appropriate materials.
- roster with emergency numbers for reunification
- Safe Seven Card (red and green card)
- nurse passes and band-aids
- once we have a final number needed these will be ordered
- Every adult needs a Safe Seven Card. We need to order more of these to stock them in every room. (These are at printing now)
- Remember to keep all doors closed and locked. This includes interior and exterior doors.
- Students continue to come in late. Is there a way that we can address this and enforce tardies?
- Students are wandering throughout the building. Please ensure that all students leave with a pass.
- The three year WC claim report was reviewed.
