OAS ELEMENTARY ART NIGHT

Grades 3-5

February 16th, 2023

Two sessions:

6:00pm - 6:30pm OR 6:45pm - 7:15pm


Express yourself! That’s what OAS Elementary Art Night is all about this year. We are taking inspiration from Street Artist Thank You X’s cube murals, with each student putting their own unique spin on it. Come join us as we step into the world of street art, add a touch of school spirit and create our Wall of Individuality. Each student will be installing their artwork before they leave.


We will have two sessions to accommodate schedules. This is not a drop-off event. A parent or guardian must accompany participating students. RSVPs are needed to ensure we have enough materials. Please use our Google form to RSVP for your child before February 9th. Please submit one form per student.


VOLUNTEERS NEEDED. We will need 3 parent volunteers for each of the two sessions. No previous art experience required. Sign up using the link below

PTA Ice Skating Night

The PTA is thrilled to offer OAS Skate Night again this year!

Both Elementary and Middle School will be the same night, Friday 2/24, but different times. **Please see details in the attached flyers**


There is no cost to skate, it’s our treat! Just note that if you need to rent skates for your child, they are $4 each and can be added to your registration and paid for ahead of time via the link below.


All students must be registered beforehand via the link below. The registration process includes all required waivers and the option to add and pay for a skate rental. All forms are due by 2/21. Can’t wait for a fun night!

FEBRUARY PARENT ACADEMY: Care for Self and Others, Be Honest

Navigating Healthy Teen Relationships

A parent presentation for grades 8-12

When: Thursday, February 9th, 2023

Time: 7:00-8:30 PM

Location- Cranford High School Media Center


This presentation will cover the topic of healthy vs. unhealthy relationships as they pertain to teens. The presenters will discuss warning signs/ red flags for teen dating violence as well as navigating social media in a relationship, defining relationships in 2023, and what that means for our children. You will hear suggestions for talking to your children about relationships, safety, resources, and where to go for help if you or a friend need it.


Presented by A Partnership for Change to ultimately help parents understand the dynamics of abuse, how to reach (not alienate) teens, and where to go for support.


Presenters: Laura Varelas Arroyo, A Partnership for Change,

Toni Anthony, CHS Student Assistance Counselor, Stella Siciliano, HAS school social worker.
