Normandy Schools Collaborative Superintendent Search Survey

The search for the next superintendent of Normandy Schools Collaborative has begun and now is your opportunity to participate.

The Joint Executive Governing Board is seeking community and staff input in selecting the next superintendent for the district. An online survey allows you to indicate the most desired leadership qualities the new superintendent should have. The results of this survey will be used by the JEGB and consultants in seeking and screening applicants as well as for the development of the interview content. The survey will close at 5:00 p.m. on October 10.

  • November 16- 5:30 p.m. in the Board Room
  • December 8- 8 a.m. in Room 207

We will work to keep these meetings small in an effort to have meaningful conversations and schedule more of these meetings throughout the school year.

Please RSVP to Ms. Lori Thompson if you would like to attend.

NSC to Celebrate Opening of Believe Project Literacy Lab on September 29

The Normandy Schools Collaborative will become the newest home to a Believe Project literacy lab, an initiative of the St. Louis Black Authors of Children's Literature (STLBACL) organization dedicated to improving reading proficiency in elementary students. A ribbon cutting will take place on September 29 at Barack Obama School, which will house the literacy lab. The project is particularly meaningful for Normandy as Craig Williams, President of Jordan Brand at Nike, is a Normandy graduate. Williams and other featured speakers will provide remarks at the opening.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will begin at 9:30 am on September 29 and is free and open to the public.

All attendees must register at Eventbrite and can RSVP by clicking here.
