Superintendent Ritz's Visit!

We had such an amazing afternoon with Superintendent Ritz and all of our special guests. Thanks to Shellie for arranging her visit. The Pow Wow was really outstanding! A huge thanks to our Fifth Grade Team and Kim Gause for all they did to get things ready. Thanks to Lori and Josette for all you did to have our ambassadors ready to go! Also, thanks to Matt for helping with setting up the gym and running our technology during the program. Thanks to Christie for making the food and helping with organizing our event. Thanks to Janet for contacting the media and helping organize things. Thanks to Rick and Doug for the extra work all day to be sure things were spic and span and ready to go! A big thank you to everyone who was able to stay and talk to Superintendent Ritz. How great for her to see what a fun and loving group of people we have working with our students and families! A huge thanks to all staff for the things you do every single day to make North Webster a great place. It is so fun to have an opportunity to show the positive things that are happening everyday in public schools--especially when we get to do it here!

NWEA Testing

NWEA Testing will start for us on Wednesday, September 17. The schedule is in Google Drive. Both labs are on the same document this time. The format is a little different than what we have done in the past. You will need to sign up for your time slot for the following tests in this order:
  • Math
  • Reading
  • Language Usage

Wendy and Susan will manage the students that need accommodations on a separate document, so you will not need to enter that information when signing up for your testing time. I will send a first and second grade schedule out later on next week, as their time frames are different.

C.L.A.S.S. Training on September 22 and 23

Jim will be back with us soon! As you work to plan this week, are you making sure that you are starting your lessons with a "Say It" so that every student knows the target learning objective for what you are teaching? Are you making sure to incorporate a "Play It" so that children are thoroughly engaged in what they are learning? Are you getting them "actively" involved? How do you know? Are you using a "Weigh It" to make sure you know what needs to be done tomorrow based on where your students' understanding levels were today?
