PRINCIPAL AND VICE PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Bonny Slope Community,
There is something about going through difficult times that bring a community together. As we reflect on the uncertainties, pivots, and hardships we would also be remiss not to mention the strength, support, stamina and willingness to do whatever it takes to get through these tough times. Each of us will have a story to tell about how we not only endured but succeeded in surviving a global pandemic. Our world was turned upside down, and yet, together we were able to have traditions continue, a community show strength, and our children learn. A huge thank you to each of you; the staff, parents, students, neighbors, grandparents and community. You helped feed, nurture, support and teach us. Thank you.
This Friday, June 18th and Monday, June 21st, we are asking parents to return devices to the school from 7:30AM-4:00PM. Please place in a bag the device, stylus, charger, and cord and label it with your child’s name and teacher. If your child is in class on Friday and will not be participating in the asynchronous learning Friday afternoon, please send your child with all of the items to school to return at the end of class. Students confirmed going to summer school may keep their devices until the end of July.
We have families that are leaving Bonny Slope as their youngest child goes to middle school. Please know that you will be missed and just how proud we are to have had you in our community. We hope you stay in touch and keep us updated on your child(ren) and that you visit us during the community events such as the pancake breakfast. Thank you for your years of support and we wish your student(s) the very best.
The next Paw Prints will be in August. Parent Square will be the new communication tool we will use to communicate staffing, events, Back to School Night, teacher assignments, etc. Please keep an eye out for information from the school district about Parent Square in the next two weeks.

If your new or returning Bonny Slope Elementary student has an identified health condition requiring a health management plan (HMP), the document is available in Parent Vue for you to review. For any changes or amendments, please contact me at wendy_costanzo@beaverton.k12.or.us and I will be happy to revise the HMP as indicated.

Free Summer Bike Rodeos with Safe Routes to School
We are hosting 6 free Bike Rodeos this summer in coordination with the Summer Meal Program. All ages are welcome to join us for a morning of fun on wheels! We will provide bike tune-ups, helmets for those who need them, and a fun bike skills/safety course.
