Welcome Back Parents
Dear Jefferson Parents! Do you believe?
Do you believe that your child can and will achieve success?
Do you believe in the power of mindset and goal setting?
Do you believe that helping your kids make incremental improvements throughout the school year leads to long-term results and motivation?
Do you believe that doing the hard work can't be done alone and that you need help and asking for help is essential?
Do you believe you are part of a team that can and will help and support you in achieving your child's goals?
We have always told our students, "Once a Jaguar, always a Jaguar!" This statement has an incredible meaning to us at Jefferson. It means you are part of a legacy of love, care, and high expectations.
Our love, care, and hard work comes from a passion and dedication for kids. It comes from good people doing the good work that, frankly, some people can't and won't do. This makes Jefferson even more special and magical.
Each of our staff members possesses the ability to advocate, guide, help, mentor, and push our kids to be better versions of themselves. Often our kids don't even see it, but guess what? Our teachers and parents do, and that's all it takes. The belief in someone is all it takes. That's right, BELIEVING in someone or something is the tipping point for success. Hence, once a Jaguar.. always a Jaguar!
Are you ready? Are you ready to start the year believing that your child can and will achieve success? Do you believe you are on the right team that can and will be part of this success?
If so, roll up your sleeves and wear your running shoes because this year will be like no other.
There is one thing that I know for sure. We BELIEVE in OUR kids and families we serve, and I can’t wait to see our fantastic journey this year in making this the best year!
Mr. Estrada, Ms. Mosby, Ms. Herrera and Ms. Mares
5 KEYS TO SUCCESS AT HOME
As we continue to work hard together in Celebrating Success for our students at Jefferson School, I would like to take this time to remind our families of the 5 Keys of Success at Home! Please take 30 minutes each night to practice:
1. Review Homework
2. Practice High Frequency Words Flash Cards
3. Read a Book Together
4. Complete a LEXIA Lesson
5. Practice Math Fact Flash Cards
Working together, especially at home, will help your child achieve success and also support them in continuously getting better at foundational skills.
THANK YOU for taking the time to help and support your child at home. These 5 Keys to Success will provide your child an opportunity to persevere to College and Career!
