Interacting with your SMART Board
Helpful Tips and Tricks to Make Your Lessons Interactive
From the Basics to Beyond
- For those new to the technology start slow and use it and the software as a whiteboard, but don't forget just as you would let students come up and write on your regular whiteboard, they can write on the SMART Board too with digital ink.
- As you become more comfortable with the basic tools search the SMART Exchange for already created interactive lessons.
- Don't forget the Lesson Activity Toolkit located on the Gallery tab (picture frame) to find interactive, self-checking activities that you can add your own content to.
- Finally, take some time to start adding your own interactivity with simple things like moving objects to reveal information, object animation, and more. Plus use the Activity Builder to create quick simple sorting activities.
The notebooks I've used for training are in Safari Montage. Please feel free to reference those files and even copy activities you liked. Click here to access the Playlists.
