Meeting Recap from Monday Night!

President's Notes

  • We discussed the Self-Evaluation Survey and the results. This is great information to help us move forward for the remainder of this year and years to come. If you are interested in a copy please contact Emily for a copy.

AEC

AEC is April 29-30 in Memphis. This is the closest it will get to us. I would love to see a great group go. We need to know if you are planning on going. Shirts will be available for $15.Money will need to be brought the March meeting for the shirts.

Junior Auxiliary Week

April 3rd-9th


We have a special event the night of our chapter meeting for the community. Several people have said they can assist. This is the week we want to thank the community for their support and let them know who we are. If you would like to assist with this project please contact Emily.


Each member will have a sign to display in their yard as well.

Provisional Training

We have three provisional members Jordan Fondren, Jamie Cantrell, and Stacey Reeves. Their next training is Thursday, February 4th.


A big thanks to them for working on the coat closet for each school. They collected around 70 coats and took them to the schools. Great job ladies!

Treasurer Report

We received a check from United Way for $358.00.


Regions Account Balance: $9,362.42

Farmers & Merchants Bank Balance: $6,000.00

Total: $15,362.42


Committee Chairs please check your balance for your project to prepare for how the funds will be spent by April.

Ex-Officio

Please double check hours and make sure folders are up to date.

Finance

Renee Heglar gave an update on "That's My Pan!" fundraiser. Money raised was $742.66. Thank you for your efforts in selling pans.

Projects

Please turn in project sheets to Sherry Grimes.

Book Buddies

The new books arrived and will be delivered to the students soon.

Busy Bags

We will have busy bags at least 1 or 2 more times this year. Please make plans to stay and help next month!

JA Reading Adventures

The next Reading Adventures is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, March 15th at the Boys and Girls Club. Members are asked to contribute prepackaged eggs and bring them to the March meeting. We need members to come that day to help with the egg hunt.

Operation Kid Print

If you know of an event coming up in town that we could set KidPrint up please contact Jan Clark or Sara Atkins

Prom Closet

It is time to start collecting prom dresses, formal dresses, and bridesmaids dresses. Please reach out to your friends and family. The date is Thursday, March 17th at Humboldt Jr. and Sr. High in the library. This is tentatively set. If any changes are made you will be notified.


This is a great project to get lots of hours and help give back.

Items needed: dresses, finger nail polish, lotions, jewelry, shoes, and refreshments

Shoebox Surprise

Thank you! We had so many boxes this month. A special thanks to Sherry Grimes for helping deliver. Mr. Parramore, the counselor, sent a special thank you for your assistance.


We will continue in the month of March.

Strawberry Patch Kids

Time to Go Shopping! On Sunday, February 21st at 2:00 p.m. a group will meet to go shopping for school supplies and uniforms. If you can go please contact, Katie Kulow (Committee Chair).

Viking Pen Pal

J.A. Kid

Sonya has moved and she is very excited for the kids. The members approved to add $100 to the line item for J.A. Kid. Upcoming things for them: Valentine gifts for kids, Easter Presents, and Keilan's birthday present.
