From the Principal's Desk...
Dear Parents and Guardians,
It was so nice to see all of the students back together for our first All School Mass of the year. Fr. Don West did a great job explaining the Gospel to the children and the junior high students were great with their Kindergarten and 1st Grade buddies. This year we will be celebrating Mass as a whole school once a week. If your child is not Catholic, please encourage him or her to ask their religion teachers questions about what is going on during Mass so that they can learn about what to expect when they attend Mass each week. It is such a wonderful sight to see all of our students praying together as a family. Our next All School Mass will be next Monday for the Feast of St. John the Baptist.
A couple of reminders in regards to technology:
Students are not permitted to bring their personal electronic devices to school with them each day. We have had a few younger students bring in iPads and other unauthorized electronic devices to use at school.
Each student, grades 3-8, is assigned a laptop and must have a carrying case for his or her computer. This case can be purchased for under $15 on Amazon.
Laptops should not be placed in a student's backpack due to the pressure from their textbooks. Last year the majority of the cracked screens resulted from students using their backpack to carry their computers.
Students will not be assigned a laptop in grades 3-8 until both technology forms have been signed.
Sincerely,
Courtney Weinheimer

Thank you to our seventh grade recycling team for taking out every classroom's recycling bins on Fridays. | Combining science and religion class, our first graders learned that when we give our worries over to God and pray, they stick to Him like static keeps a tissue stuck to a ballon. Our worries will then melt away, just like an ice cube in the sun. | In keeping with this year’s school theme, “Let Your Light Shine,” each of our junior high students made their own ray of light naming one thing they are going to do by helping, sharing, or praying. We hope you will see our students’ lights shining ever so bright! |
Mrs. Osborn's kindergarten students each brought an item from home last Friday for their first "Describe & Guess." The students love sharing special details and answering questions about their favorite items. | Eighth grade students swung by the kindergarten classes on Wednesday to pick up their mass buddies before heading over to our first all school mass. | |
