SCHOOL START TIME REMINDER
Students start preparing for the instructional day as they line up on the playground and then begin to enter the classroom. It is essential that students arrive on time in order to receive important instructions for morning learning and to set a positive tone for the school day. When students are on time to school, classroom disruptions are kept to a minimum and students start the school day on a positive tone.
As a reminder, school beings at 7:40am each morning. Students who are not in their classrooms at the tardy bell, 7:45am, will be marked tardy. The gates to the school open at 7:20am. With the colder and rainy weather approaching, we encourage all families to leave in plenty of time to arrive to the school by 7:40am.
The school gates will close by 7:43am each morning, as students who are not through the gates by this time will be tardy to class. If you arrive to school after 7:43am, please proceed to the office to get a tardy slip.
Please note that students entering the gate prior to 7:43am does not guarantee they will not be marked tardy. Students need to proceed to their lines or classroom and be there before 7:45am in order to be marked present and on time for the day.
Your cooperation with school attendance and punctuality will help your child be successful at school.

FREE OR REDUCED-PRICE MEALS APPLICATION
Please Help Increase Our School Funding by Filling Out This Application!
Although school meals are now free to all students, the application for free and reduced-price meals is still very important. School funding depends in part on the number of students at our school who qualify for free or reduced-price meals. With all students now eating for free, fewer families are completing the application and our school is at risk of losing much-needed educational funds. Plus, students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals may also be missing out on discounts on bus transportation, before and after school care, and home internet!
Even if you did not qualify before, but your income has changed, you may now qualify. For example, children from a family of four are eligible if the total gross (pre-tax) household income is less than $4,279 per month, or less than $51,338 per year. Household income information is confidential and applying online is quick and easy. Apply online at MySchoolApps.com, or pick up a paper application in the school office.
