West Point Middle School
News Around Campus January Edition
From the Principal's Desk
I hope everyone had a wonderful time spending the holidays with their family and friends and getting rejuvenated for the start of school in 2019. There was an amazing start to our break as the middle choir and band, along with our high school students, conducted a concert before Winter Break for parents/guardians, staff and students. In the spirit of giving, our Pointer Family did an amazing job collecting toys for the community. If you have a new or gently used coat to help our community stay warm for the remainder of the winter, collections are taking place at West Point High School, Middle and Elementary School offices, during normal business hours until January 15th. As an additional reminder, please have your Pointer check the Lost and Found for any clothing items that have been misplaced.
The Second Nine Weeks will be over on January 25th. To ensure academic success, remind your Pointer to make sure they are studying and completing assignments. Continue to encourage school attendance on a daily basis. A healthy, regular attendance will also aide with Pointers developing healthy life habits.
I would like to thank everyone that continuously supports our Pointers each day to become successful students. I am looking forward to a prosperous 2019 as we work to reach our goals.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey A. Millner, Principal
